Additional Activities
Chado Urasenke Tankokai San Francisco Association enables its members to deepen their studies by inviting gyotei sensei (deputy tea masters) from Kyoto to hold seminars in San Francisco. Members are also eligible to participate in intensive seminars hosted by Urasenke North America’s headquarter in New York.
The Association also organizes group trips for members to visit Urasenke Konnichian in Kyoto where they study together in small groups, attend events and visit historic sites related to the study of chado. The most recent visit occurred in the fall of 2019.
We also attend conventions of other associations in the U.S. and Urasenke associations in other countries. Please visit the Urasenke headquarters website to learn more about Japanese tea ceremony and the Chado Urasenke Foundation.
